Yesung Cho

Founder, YSBC

Yesung is a Korean immigrant who came to Toronto in the late nineties - a middle child who struggled to feel seen by his parents. Not wanting to look dumb throughout his school days, and being dyslexic in Korean with English as a second language, Yesung faced clear gaps in learning and fitting in socially.

Driven by a desire to be seen by his parents and peers, Yesung naturally gravitated toward sharing ideas that were new, unique, and sometimes funny. His ideas were welcomed early on - but in the later stages of schooling and into the workforce, those "cute ideas" had no place.

Despite the learning struggles, Yesung also faced difficult lung complications in his late teenage years, leaving him hospitalized many times and praying dearly to God: please, at least let me be married and experience a great family before I die.

Burnout is an understatement. He knew that the typical 9-to-5, stay-inside-the-box life was a game not designed for him. In his frustrations, he started noticing a pattern that had been there since childhood - pointing toward a new pathway. A great pathway. Entrepreneurship.

The examples speak for themselves. Selling $700 worth of engraved necklaces in a single day - the first time he ever tried to sell anything - in middle school. Weird. Leading hundreds of students through school and church since the age of 16. Also weird. Building Canada's first Asian Canadian entertainment company at the end of university. The one thing that connects all of it: Yesung always thrived in going after ideas because he felt seen. In the work environment, that creativity had to be toned down, silenced, and ultimately quenched.

It wasn't until COVID that Yesung took a hard left. He quickly realized the true economic and financial burden the world was bearing - and that the promise of a golden, retired life was far from true. In his early 30s, while most people were investing their savings into stocks and real estate, Yesung invested $250,000 over three years into his personal development - hiring the top business and content coaches to accelerate his learning in entrepreneurship.

With two beautiful children and a third on the way, Yesung now focuses on finding the best lever to create the most impact for high-level entrepreneurs - filling the gap between their problems and desires, like a game of Sudoku with incredible people.

His latest project with Evan Carmichael is a private mastermind called SIGNAL. If you've received the invitation letter - click here.

In his spare time, Yesung loves to read and learn new nerdy things, practice golf, talk business and mindset, and have Korean barbecue picnics with his family on weekends. Oh - he loves talking to people as well. Great for podcasting. His vision for humanity: the distance between where people are and their desired goal and lifestyle is actually not that far off. Quite close, actually. With the help of AI and a growing network, he hopes to make the process from ideation to creation a smooth, exciting journey for all levels of builders.

What YSBC Does

Helping founders see the next steps to scaling their business.

01 — Find the Gap

See your business operating at 10X.

We challenge founders to see their business operating at 10X. It requires completely different thinking than where you are today.

02 — Identify Assets

The assets that get you to 2X won't get you to 10X.

The majority of the time, the assets that get you to 2X are different from the assets that will get you to 10X results. We help you identify all options available to leverage into a pilot project of in-person or virtual event.

03 — Execute & Measure

We bridge the gap — together.

We work as a done-with-you model so we can help bridge the gap of where you are and where you'd like to be.
